With the project RAUM:FALTEN, the intermedia duo INTER_SECTION (Sabine Ercklentz & Claudia Schmitz) challenges the everyday understanding of space as a limited and limiting entity. During the performance, the duo folds the various spaces – sonic and visual, everyday and artificial, analogue and digital – into one another in a performance and reformat them again and again as the performance progresses. Using multi-channel sound and projections, the concrete performance space is expanded and overlaid, superimposed, with 'spatial folds' creating a blurring of the boundaries between disciplines. Everyday and imaginary boundaries are countered with a poetic utopia of possibilities.

The transmedia duo INTER_SECTION develops, in collaboration with changing international guest artists, space-related audiovisual real-time performances on the basis of improvisation involving gestural and intermedial transcribtion. This production (#8) is dedicated to the collaboration within the duo.

Mit dem Projekt RAUM:FALTEN fordert das intermediale Duo INTER_SECTION (Sabine Ercklentz & Claudia Schmitz) das alltägliche Verständnis von Raum als begrenzter und begrenzender Einheit heraus. Die verschiedenen Räume – klangliche und visuelle, alltägliche und künstliche, analoge und digitale – faltet das Duo im Verlauf der Performance ineinander und strukturiert sie immer wieder neu. Mit Mehrkanal-Ton und Projektionen wird der konkrete Aufführungsort ausgedehnt und überlagert - Raumfalten entstehen. Die Grenzen der Disziplinen verschwimmen und alltägliche und gedachte Grenzen mit einer poetischen Utopie der Möglichkeiten gekontert.

Das transmediale Duo INTER_SECTION  - Sabine Ercklentz (Trompete, Elektronik) und Claudia Schmitz (Bewegtbild auf Skultpur, Elektronik, Unfolded Screen) - entwickelt mit wechselnden Gästen raumbezogene audiovisuelle Echtzeit Performances unter Einbeziehung gestischer und intermedialer Übertragungen. Diese Produktion (#8) ist der Zusammenarbeit innerhalb des Duos gewidmet.
